The CAT 2025 exam will be held on 24 November 2025 (Sunday). The exam will be held in three sessions at around 300 test centers spread across 155 cities in India. How many attempts for CAT 2025?

There is no limit on the number of attempts for CAT 2025. You can appear for the exam as many times as you want, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria. However, there is a limitation that each candidate can appear in the CAT exam only once in a year.

CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates must have graduated with 50% marks, and those who are SC, ST, and PWD students must have 45% marks.
2. Candidates appearing for the final year of the Bachelor’s degree examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
3. Candidates are encouraged to apply for a UDID card (PwD Category) and upload the same for the application.

1. Students here need to visit and start the fresh registration process.
2. Students must fill in the details like their name, contact details, and email address.
3. The credentials will be received on the mobile number provided.

5. After this, students must fill in the accurate data from personal to academic details.

CAT Exam Form Photo Requirements

Here is the CAT exam for photo requirements, Candidates must read the following instructions while uploading the scanned image of their passport-size photo within 1200 pixels x 1200 pixels. Also, upload the scanned image of your signature within 80mm X 35mm. The document file format should be a .jpg or .jpeg, and the file size should not exceed 80KB each. The image should be clear with a minimum resolution of 150px/inch. The photo should not be over 6 months old and have a white background. CAT Exam Pattern 2025

The CAT Exam Pattern contains 3 sections for the examinations. The first is the Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC) Questions: the total marks are 24.

• Quantitative Aptitude (QA) Questions: 22 marks for sector 2.
• Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR) Questions: 20 marks for the third section.
• The total time allotted for each section is 40 minutes, and the total time allotted for the examinations is 120 minutes.

The students will ask for 66 marks in total, and the total marks are 198 for this entrance examination. While appearing for the examinations, students should be aware that the correct marking will give students 3 marks, but the wrong one will – 1 1 mark. This negative marking is available only for MCQ-type questions; students should answer them correctly.

CAT 2025 Admit Card

The CAT 2025 admit card will be released on 05 November 2025 on the official website of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), the conducting body of the exam.

To download the CAT 2025 admit card, candidates must visit the official website and enter their registration ID and password. The admit card will contain important information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, test date, test time, and test center address.

Candidates must download and print a copy of their admit card and bring it to the test center on the day of the exam. Without a valid admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the test center.

CAT Exam Result 2025

CAT Exam Result 2025 will be released in the third week of December. The scorecard will include details like each candidate’s name, registration number, category, photo, sectional and overall scores, and percentiles. The exam is scheduled for November 24, 2025, and candidates can access their results on the IIMCAT website using their login details. Over 2 lakh candidates appear for the CAT annually, but only 11-16 achieve a 100 percentile, and 25-30 score 99.99 percentile. Keep in mind that in 2023, 14 candidates, all male, scored 100 percentile, with only one female scoring 99.99 percentile.

The list of candidates shortlisted for the next selection level will be available on the respective IIMs’ websites. Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. CAT 2025 Score

Students’ CAT 2025 scorecards will be accessible on the official CAT website. Students are also informed individually by SMS. The CAT results 2025 are likely to be declared by the second week of January 2025. The CAT 2025 score is valid only until 31 December 2025 and will accordingly be accessible on the website.

CAT Percentile Score Calculation

1. Calculate the total number of candidates (N) who appeared for CAT (i.e. including morning, afternoon and evening sessions).
2. Assign a rank (r) to all candidates who appeared for CAT based on the scaled scores obtained in the QA section. If two or more candidates obtain identical scaled scores in the QA section, assign identical ranks to all those candidates. As an illustration, suppose exactly two candidates obtain the highest scaled score in the QA section, then both candidates are assigned a rank of 1. Moreover, the candidate(s) obtaining the second highest scaled score in the QA section are assigned a rank of 3.
3. Calculate the percentile score (P) of a candidate with rank (r) in the QA section as: = ( − /N ) x 100
4. Round off a candidate’s calculated percentile score (P) up to two decimal points.
