Karnataka Scholarship State Post-Matric scholarship was introduced to enable the students to continue their studies where they student is not eligible for the award of GOI Scholarship. Post-Matric scholarships are sanctioned to SC students studying in various courses in recognized colleges and universities after S.S.L.C. for both day scholars and hostellers at different rates prescribed by the Government of India. Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

1. Students must belong to the SC category.
2. The parent’s income should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000 per annum.
3. Students who fail twice in Professional courses are eligible for state Post-Matric scholarships.
4. Students who fail once in degree courses are eligible for state Post-Matric scholarships.
5. Even 3rd or 4th Male Children of the family are eligible for state Post-Matric scholarship.

Online Application for Stipend to sw kar nic in Law Graduates 2025-26 The Last Date to Apply is 31 July 2025 at 6.00 PM. For a candidate who is residing in Karnataka, the Government of Karnataka offers stipends for law graduates stipends from  Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes and those Whose Income is below 2 Lakhs.

A stipend to Law Graduates is given to SC/ST individuals residing in Karnataka to enable fresh law graduates to practice law in various courts. The training course is arranged under the Senior Advocates. The stipend is given to an SC/ST resident of Karnataka with a law degree from any state or central government university/institution. Karnataka Government supports and encourages SC students to pursue M.Phil and PhD courses in various universities for Financial Assistance to SC Students, The Student scheme was introduced in Karnataka in 1997-98. Under www.sw.kar.nic.in 2025 scheme, students enrolled in M.Phil programs receive financial assistance of INR 8000 upon completing their one-year course, precisely when submitting their thesis. Similarly, PhD students are granted INR 10,000 upon completing their research.

Students transitioning directly from M.Phil to PhD are eligible for financial assistance in the third year. This Scholarship serves as a vital source of support for SC students, providing them with the necessary resources to pursue their research and academic endeavors. It plays a significant role in fostering their academic growth and ensuring equal opportunities for higher education and research in Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD and MPhil Scholarship

1. Financial assistance will be sanctioned in two installments for Ph.D. students. Rs. 5000/- will be paid after registration, and again Rs. 5000/- is paid after the completion of the course. For M.Phil students, after completing the course, Rs. 8000/- is sanctioned for M.Phil students.
2. The Head of the institution / Guide of the research work has to state that the work of the concerned student is satisfactory.
3. Those students who join Ph.D. directly become eligible for the sanction of money only after they pass the Pre-Ph.D examination, and those who come after completing their M.Phil become eligible in the third year.
4. The students who want to obtain financial assistance through the Dept. of Social Welfare should not be the recipient of either UGC / CSIR/ ICMR or any other Research scholarship.

Prabhuddha Overseas Scholarship 2025-26

Prabhuddha Overseas Scholarship was initiated by www.sw.kar.nic.in for Karnataka SC Students and Karnataka ST Students for their higher education, such as Master’s Degree or PhD Courses by studying Abroad. As per the Scholarship program, Candidates are not more than 35 Years as on the first day of April for the Selection Year. The family’s total Income from all sources shall not exceed INR 8 Lakh per annum.

Prabhuddha Overseas Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

1. At Least above 60% grade in the examination.
2. In the PhD Course, the students must clear the master’s degree examination.
3. For a master’s Degree, the Candidate must clear a bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
4. At any University, the Percentage would be calculated based on the marks obtained by the applicant in various semesters. University Provides CGPA, So Students must convert CGPA To Percentage and authenticate by the university.
